In 2002 Sako's path crossed with two very talented musicians. Singer/song writer Elvina Makarian, and producer Roma Kanyan. Putting their talents and passion for music together, Sako released his eighth album Echo, introducing to his fans a new sophisticated style with a touch of jazz. The enhanced CD contained two new video clips produced by Koji Zadori, shot in California Desert.
Once again Sako had two nominations at the Sixth Annual AMAs for Best Music Video and for Best Dance Album. Sako took home The Best Dance Album Award.
In a single breath, without taking any break, Sako and Roma Kanyan continued their hard work and dedication, to give birth to his Ninth Album Flawless in August 2004.
The title well describes the album. It is truly Flawless in every aspect, quality, professionalism and originality. Two Music Videos were shot for this album by one of the youngest Armenian video producers, Norik Artunian of NOR Production.
Following a sold out concert at Glendale's Alex Theater in July, singer-song writer Sako continues to diversify, both in terms of creative output and live performances.
November 2005 Sako released Live Dance Party, a double album of party tracks that went on to become a smash best-seller. Live Dance Party was a departure from Sako's unique, intensely personal style, in that it presented an exuberant set of Armenian and world dance favorites, specifically aiming at a sound of abandon and celebration.
Live Dance Party resonated strongly with fans, who discovered a new side of the artist. While they were familiar with Sako's dynamic stage persona and his ability to create a trance-like, groove-rich ambiance, Live Dance Party showed that he could also put a distinctive twist on beloved dance numbers. The revelation was all the more significant because of the careful selection of the tracks on the double album and Sako's uncompromising production values.
The artist released his 11th album, Shall We Dance, in August 2006, to instant popular acclaim.
